Eric J. Thomas

Eric J. Thomas provides a supportive, compassionate space for clients to explore life’s challenges, strengthen their emotional well-being, and work toward meaningful personal growth. His approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each client’s unique experiences. Eric has interests in mental health, spirituality, identity, education, life transitions, and personal development.

A proud Detroit native, Eric brings experience from the fields of mental health, education, ministry, and community advocacy. His background allows him to understand how family, culture, faith, relationships, and life experiences can influence a person’s well-being. Before becoming a therapist, he served as a K–12 school administrator in under-resourced communities.

Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in social work. He has also completed advanced clinical training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Beck Institute. As an ordained clergy member, Eric is comfortable incorporating spirituality or faith into therapy when it is meaningful to the client.
